CLOSING DATE: November 28, 2024 GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) is seeking an experienced Translational Clinical Physician with a strong background in immunology to support bridging the gap between clinical practice and translational research. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our innovative immunology therapies are effectively translated from bench to bedside, ultimately improving patient outcomes and helping to accelerate our pipeline for patients. Clinical Expertise and Support: Serve as a primary clinical expert on immunology-related projects, providing insights and guidance on clinical trial design, patient selection, and endpoint determination. Collaborate with pre-clinical and clinical investigators, key opinion leaders (KOLs), and other healthcare professionals to ensure the clinical relevance and feasibility of research initiatives. Support the development and implementation of clinical protocols, informed consent documents, and other trial-related materials. Translational Research: Work closely with the experimental and translational research team to identify and validate biomarkers, therapeutic targets, and mechanisms of action. Facilitate the integration of pre-clinical, clinical and translational data to inform decision-making and optimize clinical development strategies. Contribute to the identification and evaluation of novel immunology therapies and technologies. Medical Communication and Education: Develop and deliver educational materials and presentations for internal and external stakeholders, including clinical trial investigators, healthcare providers, and regulatory agencies. Represent GSK at scientific conferences, advisory boards, and other professional meetings, sharing clinical insights and research findings. Act as a liaison between the pre-clinical and clinical development team and external partners, ensuring effective communication and collaboration. Regulatory and Compliance: Ensure that all clinical activities are conducted in compliance with GSK policies, regulatory requirements, and ethical standards. Support regulatory submissions and interactions with health authorities, providing clinical expertise and addressing queries related to immunology therapies. Why you? Basic Qualifications: Primary medical qualification,( MBBS or equivalent ) and completion of Specialty training ( CCT and fellowship or equivalent level required) Significant clinical practice experience with a strong focus on immunology. Experience in clinical research including the design and conduct of clinical trials in the field of immunology. Strong experience in translational research and biomarker development Preferred Qualifications: PhD in Immunology Specialty training in General and Acute Medicine would be advantageous Diploma in Clinical Pharmacology and prior experience as a Principle Investigator on clinical trials would be advantageous In-depth knowledge of immunology, including current trends and advancements in the field.
