Medacs Healthcare is proud to be playing an integral part in delivering a new Functional Assessment Services contract on behalf of the UK Department for Work and Pensions. The contract will involve the delivery of more than 3.5 million health and disability assessments nationally over a period of 5 years.
Following several years of successfully supporting the previous Health Assessment Advisory Service, Medacs is now expanding its service in our existing North England region, supporting the regional prime provider of the new service.
The role of a Clinical Support Manager is to manage a team of healthcare practitioners, ensuring a quality professional service to standards of service delivery and performance indicators consistent with contractual needs. This role will be office based in Sunderland, working 37.5 hours per week.
Here's some of the key responsibilities:
Contribute to the commercial relationship between the Client and Health Assessment Services ensuring that targets in quality, productivity and customer satisfaction are met
Liaise with the clinical management team to recruit and retain healthcare practitioners to support business needs in line with national standards
Ensure that the appropriate skills base is in place for effective service delivery, e.g. recruitment and retention of Health Practitioners
Organise and provide training for the Health Practitioners
Ensure an effective audit-feedback cycle is in place
Provide investigative support for complaints, feedback and actions plans when required
Ensure that clinical governance and standards required by all appropriate professional regulatory bodies are maintained
Carry out assessments in line with service requirements (as an approved health practitioner)
Attend Client Clinical Lead meetings regularly as agreed with the Clinical Delivery Manager
Work with the management team to ensure compliance with all clinical KPI requirements in line with any contractual requirements.
Line management responsibility for health practitioners ensuring compliance to MGG HR policies and procedures
Essential Skills and Experience:
· Ensure that professional practice standards and 'best practice' are maintained in all areas of work
· Evidence of achieving agreed targets and standards
· HP with a minimum of one years' post registration experience.
· Experience and approval with the DWP within PIP
· Have highly developed oral and written communication skills
