Church and Community Relationships Coordinator (Mid Scotland)
The Church and Community Relationship Coordinator is a role focussed on inspiring, resourcing and activating individuals and churches to understand the biblical mandate to care for children and families. You will inspire them to respond and play their part in the solution.
The role will focus on growing relationships with Church leaders, networks and individual Christians. The role of the Church and Community Relationship Coordinator is to stir, resource and activate the Church as we work together to provide a holistic solution which prevents children from entering the care system, and increases the number of safe and nurturing homes through fostering, adoption and supported lodgings.
The role also includes the recruitment and nurture of a team of volunteer Church Champions across your area who will enable us to maximise our vision and multiply our impact.
Area of Work
Your work would will focus on church development and activation across our ‘Mid-Scotland’ region:
* Your initial priority areas will include Fife, Clackmannanshire and the cities of Perth and Dundee with active church engagement in these areas.
* You will also provide some selective, strategic inputs across Angus, Stirling, Falkirk and Perth & Kinross.
* You will offer occasional remote, volunteer-led coverage of Argyll and Bute (oversight and response rather than initiating new relationships).
You will need to be able to easily travel and work across this region in addition to occasional travel across Scotland. Ideally, you will live within, or close to, the priority area highlighted above.
While this role has been envisaged as a 0.8FTE role, we are open to exploring 0.6FTE (in which case the number of church relationships you would develop and manage would be reduced), or 1.0FTE (in which case, you may be required to provide up to four days per month input to church activity beyond your core area of work).
