Job Title: Maintenance & Property Technician
Job Location: Field Based covering North and Mid Devon
Salary: £25,908.75 per annum, working 40 hours per week, 52 weeks per year.
Contract Type: Permanent
Are you a jack of all trades? You would make a great addition to our Maintenance/Property Team.
This is a field-based role covering a local geographical area, providing domestic property maintenance and refurbishment support activity to several properties within this area.
You’ll build a strong relationship with our team members who run our homes and education settings, helping us ensure our property portfolio is in excellent condition for the people we support and our team members to work in. Your commitment to maintaining these spaces to the highest standards is crucial.

A day in the life of a Maintenance Technician will involve:
* Providing a customer-focused mindset with a positive and responsive attitude in all interactions. Supporting colleagues and working flexibly to meet day-to-day reactive issues whilst planning proactively for future maintenance.
* Assisting in the upkeep and maintenance of the Phoenix property portfolio. These are mainly domestic style buildings, and your work will include both the interior and exterior of the properties and occasionally the grounds. As an example, you will be carrying out various repairs to features such as windows, fire doors, simple plumbing, decorating, or effecting temporary repairs until we can arrange a specialist contractor to resolve.
* Participating, from time-to-time, in larger refurbishment works depending on your skills and experience. You’ll work alongside your colleagues and our trusted contractors to bring new services to life.
* Being able to use, maintain and store the tools and equipment safely, whilst carrying out your duties. Ensuring that equipment is well maintained, and faults are reported promptly to ensure we repair or replace any defective items.
* Providing a safe environment for the People we support and our Team Members, through adhering to the organisations Health and Safety Policies, demonstrating best practice and doing your job safely.
To be a successful Maintenance Technician, you’ll need:
* Effectively work and collaborate within a multi-disciplinary Property Services team, engaging proactively with colleagues.
* Have a supportive and flexible work ethic, with a sense of humour and a commitment to high-quality outcomes.
* A commitment to working safely and complying with procedures and Health and Safety regulations.
* A full driving licence - You will be allocated a Company Van with fuel card and a range of equipment.
