We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Mechanical Project Manager to oversee the mechanical aspects of a new build residential development. This is an exciting opportunity to manage the planning, coordination, and execution of mechanical systems, ensuring that all mechanical elements are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. You will be responsible for leading the project team and managing client relationships, all while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Lead the mechanical scope of works for a new build residential project, including HVAC, plumbing, heating, and ventilation systems. Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure the timely and cost-effective completion of mechanical works. Coordinate with design teams, engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure all mechanical systems meet design specifications and regulatory requirements. Oversee the procurement of materials and subcontractors, ensuring quality and compliance with project requirements. Manage a team of mechanical engineers, supervisors, and technicians, providing guidance and ensuring productivity. Monitor and control project performance, managing risks and resolving issues as they arise. Ensure all work is completed in accordance with health and safety regulations and project specifications. Conduct site inspections, quality control checks, and progress meetings with contractors and stakeholders. Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, budgets, schedules, and progress reports. Provide technical support and solutions for any mechanical design or installation challenges that arise. Liaise with clients and other key stakeholders to provide regular project updates and ensure satisfaction. Key Requirements: Black CSCS card SMSTS Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager or in a similar managerial role within the construction or residential sector. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems in new build residential projects (HVAC, plumbing, heating, ventilation, etc.). Excellent project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation. Ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams, including engineers, contractors, and subcontractors. Strong understanding of construction processes, building codes, and safety regulations. Exceptional problem-solving, decision-making, and negotiation skills. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders. Relevant qualifications in mechanical engineering, construction management, or a related field (e.g., HNC, HND, degree, or equivalent).
