Due to a promotion on a fixed term basis, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an Administrator Manager to join the Medical Team at Raigmore Hospital. The successful applicant will undertake specific responsibilities to work as a team of 3 to manage, lead and motivate the clerical and secretarial team across the Medical Directorate. The primary focus will be to support clinical activity within the Medical Directorate ensuring that all users receive a cost effective and efficient service within the agreed resources. The postholder will be responsible for supporting the business of the Medical Directorate including analysis of demand and capacity, waiting time delivery (an understanding of Trakcare and waiting time targets would be helpful) and supporting all aspects of administrative management within a strong framework of financial governance whilst adhering to the qualities laid out in the Highland Quality Approach. The post holder will demonstrate excellent people management skills, in particular they will have the ability to foster strong team building and provide motivational support where required (an understanding of the Once for Scotland Policies would also be helpful). Applicants must be able to demonstrate a real commitment to working across all relevant aspects of the service, showing an ability to enthuse, motivate and give commitment to meeting exacting deadlines. Also key is the ability to demonstrate proficiency in various software systems to include excel, access, power point, word. It would be an advantage to have experience of working with NHS systems but training can be provided. Previous experience of working with both clinical and non-clinical teams would also be extremely helpful along with evidence of excellent analytical, organisational and communication skills. A demonstrable commitment to improving the services we provide to patients is absolutely essential.
