This is an exciting role to teach joinery at Harrogate College, delivering Level 1 and 2 to full-time learners

We have a well-equipped, industry standard and professional workshop to teach the practical elements of the course in.
This role will include delivery of practical elements of the City and Guilds Carpentry and Construction qualifications, alongside Health and Safety and Principles of Construction.
As a Joinery Teacher at Harrogate College, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of joiners. Your primary responsibilities will include delivering high-quality, engaging teaching sessions. You will design and implement innovative teaching methods to enhance the learning experience and ensure that students are well-prepared for careers in various avenues of joinery and construction.
In addition to teaching, you will be expected to contribute to the development of the joinery curriculum, ensuring it remains current with industry trends and technological advancements. This includes designing new course materials, updating existing ones, and participating in curriculum review processes and involving employers to enhance the learning experiences.
Overall, this role requires a dynamic individual, a commitment to student success, and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, industry partners, and the broader community.
What You Will Do

* Plan and deliver high-quality joinery lessons to learners at Level 1 and Level 2
* Develop and adapt curriculum materials to meet the needs of learners
* Assess and provide feedback on student progress
* Support learners in achieving their educational goals
* Ensure compliance with all college policies and procedures
* Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills
* Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall learning experience
* Complete all essential admin duties as required to fulfil the role
About You
You should be qualified to Level 3 or above in Carpentry or Joinery and have some experience in working within the Construction and Joinery Industry. We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about their subject and has a demonstrable commitment to using their expertise to create an excellent teaching and learning experience for our learners.
You don't need to be a qualified assessor or teacher - we will support you in achieving the necessary qualifications. We just ask that you are motivated by helping others to learn, and that you really want to make a difference to people's lives.
