The Role: Our client is looking for a passionate Intermediate Mechanical Design Engineer to join their growing team in Croydon. Youll support their senior engineers in delivering mechanical design solutions across all project stages. This is a great opportunity to work on a broad range of projects. Key Responsibilities: Assist in the design and delivery of mechanical services across multiple sectors Produce detailed mechanical designs, calculations, and specifications Support senior engineers and mentor junior team members Attend client meetings and contribute to design discussions Conduct surveys, inspections, and generate reports Assist in preparing tender documentation and evaluating responses Ensure compliance with industry standards and company procedures Liaise directly with clients and project stakeholders Collaborate with the wider MEP design team to achieve integrated solutions Candidate overview: Interest in the construction and built environment sector Excellent communication and presentation skills High attention to detail and a proactive mindset Technical Requirements: Competent in mechanical design software (Hevacomp/IES VE) Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Project) AutoCAD skills Familiarity with: CIBSE Guides CDM Regulations British Standards Building Regulations BIM/Revit workflows Understanding of SAP, SBEM, EPCs, BREEAM andPassivhaus Experience preparing and reviewing technical reports and condition surveys Qualifications: Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field Why Join our client?
