About the role
We are looking for a motivated individual to join our team and provide cover supervision for absent teachers and generally support the smooth operation of the Academy at other times. This is a vital role in contributing to the culture, ethos and well-being of the whole Academy.
This is a fixed term position (until July 2025), working 32.5 hours per week, 40 weeks per year

Charnwood College is an oversubscribed 11 to 18 school, which has seen significant improvements over the last five years. The most recent Ofsted inspection rated the school as Good in all areas stating that ‘Pupils at Charnwood College experience a culture of respect and positivity’ and that ‘Leaders have established an inclusive and calm environment in which pupils can learn’. Staff and students follow ‘The Charnwood Way’, to create a positive, learning culture in which all students are immersed. The spacious, well-maintained site offers excellent facilities over 40 acres. We have dedicated areas for a variety of sports, the arts and technology subjects.
We are proud of our ambitious, knowledge-rich curriculum providing broad and balanced opportunities for our students. As part of the David Ross Education Trust, the curriculum is hugely supported through Curriculum Leads, resources and training sessions. Teachers follow a common lesson rubric and embedded routines to deliver high quality learning and consistency across the school. All classrooms are well equipped and have a visualisers in every room.
We continue to develop our outstanding enrichment opportunities, covering sport, arts, music and adventurous and residential visits, to inspire participation, motivate our students and develop talent. We have a varied calendar of events throughout the year showcasing these areas and staff are encouraged and supported to develop learning outside the classroom.
