Job Opportunity: Quantity Surveyor – Fit-Out Contractor (Workplace & Education Sectors) Location: Croydon with flexible working (1-2 days WFH) Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 benefits We are working on behalf of a respected medium-sized fit-out and maintenance contractor seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team. Specializing in projects across the education and workplace sectors, this is an excellent opportunity for a well-rounded QS looking to work on diverse and exciting projects in London and the South East. The Role As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing a range of fit-out and maintenance projects, typically valued between £500k and £3m. The contractor is part of the University of the Arts London (UAL) framework and delivers projects for multiple workplace clients, including MEP and fabric works. Key responsibilities will include: Managing all commercial aspects, including CVRs, from project inception to completion. Client-facing duties, maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders. Estimating and pricing responsibilities for new tenders. Collaborating closely with the design team and other project stakeholders. Flexible working with 1-2 days WFH, based out of the Croydon office. Candidate Requirements The ideal candidate will have: Around 10 years of experience in quantity surveying, ideally within the fit-out or construction sectors. Strong knowledge of commercial, workplace, and education projects. Comprehensive experience in estimating, cost management, and client liaison. Proven ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail. MEP and fabric experience is advantageous.
