Job Description
KierBAM is a Joint Venture partnership between Kier and Bam Nuttall, currently delivering the redevelopment project at a Royal Navy site in Plymouth. We seek an Electrical Engineer.
Due to the high Security Military Naval base location, additional security checks are required – BPSS level of security clearance is necessary. These checks can take up to 8 weeks to process. Only candidates holding EU, NATO, 5 Eyes, or MISWG member passports and having been UK residents for the last 5 years can be considered for this role.

Hours: Permanent, Full Time
Salary: Competitive Salary + Car Allowance, Subsistence packages available if requirements met
Responsibilities
As an Electrical Engineer, you'll work within the Devonport Nuclear team, ensuring all works are procured, planned, and carried out safely according to project requirements and UK law.
Your day-to-day tasks will include:
* Ensuring all works are procured, planned, and carried out safely according to project requirements and UK law.
* Managing the successful completion of projects/areas under control, aligning with agreed quality and commercial plans to achieve targets within agreed timescales and cost constraints. Ensuring designs and installations meet internal and client specifications and statutory requirements as a minimum.
* Providing leadership for project team members within your area of control, setting clear expectations, offering guidance and feedback to maximise team performance and ensure objectives are met, managing performance accordingly.
* Contributing to the identification of project risks and opportunities, supporting project team members, providing suggestions, taking responsibility for mitigation or enhancement within your area of control.
* Understanding relevant budgets, commercial priorities, and their implications, making sound decisions based on clear criteria and managing own workload in line with project goals and priorities.
Requirements
This Electrical Engineer role is suitable for those with:
* Civil Engineering related Qualification (HNC, BSc, MSc, BEng, MEng).
* Experience with electrical equipment procurement and vendor management.
* Experience in similar roles, preferably in the relevant sector (Nuclear and Defence).
* CSCS - White PQP/AQP.
