This post is a part-time 0.4 FTE, permanent post, with working days currently Wednesday and Friday. Our Maths Faculty comprises 5 teachers. About the School The Community School of Auchterarder is an all-through school, comprising Nursery, Primary and Secondary departments serving the community of Auchterarder and surrounding district. We have a roll of approximately 1,100 children and young people across all three sectors. The school is situated in a rural location, approximately 14 miles south of Perth with good road networks to the rest of Perthshire, Glasgow, Edinburgh and the central belt. Skills & Experience Required The successful candidate will have a thorough knowledge of pedagogies that engage learners. The successful candidate will take account of the needs of all learners in their classrooms and ensure inclusive practice that leads to positive outcomes for learners. An ability to analyse data to ensure that outcomes for young people are the best they possibly can be, will be required. You will have high aspirations for learners, good communication skills with parents/carers and form respectful relationships. The successful applicant will be also be skilled in positive behaviour management techniques, including restorative approaches.
