As part of their continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and driven Quantity Surveyor (QS) to join our team and play a pivotal role in delivering complex, large-scale critical build projects. Role Overview: As a Quantity Surveyor, you will work within our Data Centre and M&E division, managing the financial and contractual aspects of high-profile critical builds and infrastructure projects. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge developments, collaborating with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful and profitable delivery of projects. Key Responsibilities: Preparation of accurate cost estimates, budgets, and financial forecasts for critical infrastructure and data centre projects. Monitor and control project costs, ensuring they are in line with the budget and provide value engineering solutions where required. Draft and review contracts, ensuring all agreements align with project goals and contractual obligations. Manage procurement processes for materials, sub-contractors, and services. Perform regular site visits to assess progress, costs, and quality of work, ensuring adherence to project timelines. Provide advice on risk management, contract negotiations, and commercial strategies. Assist in resolving disputes or issues related to cost, contract terms, or quality. Collaborate with internal teams, external contractors, and clients to maintain clear communication and ensure smooth project delivery. Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders. Key Requirements: Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally within the data centre, M&E, or critical infrastructure sectors. A solid understanding of cost management, procurement, and contract administration in the construction industry. Familiarity with relevant industry standards, guidelines, and legal requirements for critical builds and data centres. Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Experience with project management software and tools. RICS accredited (or working towards) is preferred. Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
