Key Responsibilities: Provide exceptional customer service and handle merchandise efficiently. Develop thorough product knowledge to offer helpful advice and recommendations. Respond to customer enquiries and complaints promptly, resolving issues or offering additional help. Communicate efficiently and effectively with colleagues regarding customer requirements and orders for delivery. Ensure all customer transactions are processed accurately and efficiently. Maintain a clean and organised environment, keeping displays neat and restocking shelves as necessary. Recommend stock orders within the area of responsibility and maintain excellent levels of merchandising and housekeeping. Provide administrative support to the sales team, including managing customer orders. Accurately assemble orders for delivery, completing relevant documentation and ensuring the order is clearly marked with customer delivery information. Check goods received from suppliers against delivery notes and purchase orders, noting discrepancies or damages. Assist with loading company delivery vehicles. Communicate with colleagues regarding low stock levels and provide information on proposed stock orders, completing relevant documentation when necessary. Maintain high levels of housekeeping and ensure a safe working environment. Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned by the Branch Manager or Operations Supervisor. About You: Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to relate to a broad spectrum of individuals. Excellent organisational and time management skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines. Proactive nature, forward-thinking, positive disposition, and flexible. Relevant product knowledge or a genuine interest in Construction or DIY.
