Talk to us about how we can best support you Your role as an Customs Operations and Compliance Specialist will focus on ensuring customs compliance and risk management. The roles’ purpose is to ensure that robust governance and controls are maintained and, where needed, improved throughout the business to ensure continued customs compliance Support with the day-to-day management of customs operations. To identify and communicate issues arising from queries to the Customs Manager for wider consideration, including changes to systems or processes. Liaise with customs brokers and 3PL’s as required. Support Customs Compliance by maintaining and updating a system of control governance. Ensuring Kingfisher complies with all customs and international trade regulations, UK/IE laws, Kingfisher guidelines and assuring the best interests of Kingfisher are met. Creating, maintaining, and recording customs process documentation, as well as work instructions, in accordance with management approval. Collaborating, supporting, and working with the Customs Manager & team colleagues to ensure compliance and customs process are developed and maintained. Experience/knowledge of customs operations Excellent Excel skills and good experience of other Microsoft Office programmes, for example, PowerPoint, Access. Word etc. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong team player. Ability to work under pressure and to support others who are under pressure.
