About Us
We are a large training practice based in Ilkeston with a list of approximately 18,000 patients. We also have a small branch surgery in West Hallam. We have an excellent team made up of 6 GP partners, 8 salaried GPs, ANPs, pharmacists, practice nurses, and HCAs, as well as a strong admin team.
We are proud to be part of Erewash Health Partnership, which is made up of 7 local practices in the Ilkeston and Long Eaton area. This has enabled us to develop many effective services to enhance patient care and reduce the GP workload, including a visiting service, FCP, and on-day service to help with our acute patient demand, as well as pharmacists, mental health workers, chaplains, and the frailty team. We also work closely with our social prescribers and care coordinators.
GPs work to 15-minute appointments. We have a home visiting service and frailty service which covers all care home needs and the majority of our acute home visits. We are working to the recommended BMA 25 appointments a day where possible.
We put both education and innovation at the heart of our practice. Not only are we a training practice for the Derby Training Scheme, but we also have medical students, as well as training nurses, pharmacists, and other affiliated professionals. We are involved in clinical research and are always keen to explore new ways of dealing with the ever-changing demands of General Practice.
We are high QoF achievers and are rated as outstanding by CQC.
