Operational Safety Manager @ Eastern Airways

Responsibilities
* Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures specific to Eastern Airways operations, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations such as those set by the CAA and other regulatory authorities.
* Conduct regular inspections and audits of our facilities, equipment, and operations to identify potential hazards and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
* Collaborate with the Safety team to provide safety training and education programmes, including emergency procedures, hazard recognition, and personal protective equipment usage.
* Maintain and administer Health and Safety and Aviation Safety records, training material, safety promotion material and safety assurance data.
* Act as secretary and administrative support for Company wide safety meetings including preparation of meetings, agendas minutes and meeting logistics.
* Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to health and safety, and recommend improvements to existing processes as needed.
* Serve as liaison with regulatory authorities, representing the company's interests in matters related to health and safety compliance.
* Co-ordinate emergency response procedures and participate in emergency drills to ensure readiness and effectiveness.
* Monitor and analyse safety data and metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement and prepare reports for management review.
* Develop a culture of safety awareness and accountability among all employees, promoting a proactive approach to risk management and incident prevention.
* Collaborate with the other members of the safety team to integrate safety considerations into planning, design, and implementation of new projects and initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience
* Minimum of 2 years' experience in administration or similar roles.
* Aviation industry work experience.
* 1 years' work experience within Safety Management/Administration.
* Experience of working within highly regulated environments.

* Highly skilled in Excel
* Knowledge of Microsoft Power Automate or equivalent AI/flowchart tools
* Knowledge of Safety Management System (SMS)
* Knowledge and awareness of CAA and/or HSE regulations and industry standards
