About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at an independent specialist school in Leicester. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of our students with autism.
Key Responsibilities
* Contribute to the planning, delivery, and evaluation of learning activities for groups and individual students
* Work under the direction and supervision of a HLTA/teacher to support the academic, social, and emotional development of students
* Undertake additional responsibilities such as cover supervision, coaching, and mentoring, and contributing to policy development
Requirements
* Experience in planning, evaluating, and delivering learning activities
* Previous work with children, youth, and families in educational settings
* Comprehensive understanding of child protection, health, safety procedures, and policies
* Familiarity with educational frameworks, ICT for learning support
* Proficient in curriculum implementation, child development, and SEND Code of Practice
