Serco is looking for an Application Engineer to join our ICT Service Delivery Team. This role is essential in ensuring seamless service operation and delivering excellent customer support.
As an Application Engineer, you will be the first point of contact for all contracted business applications, providing first-line support, diagnosing application issues, and escalating where necessary. You will also play a key role in incident management, event management, problem resolution, access management, and service request fulfilment, ensuring all tasks align with agreed service levels.
You’ll be entrusted to:
- Providing first-contact support for all contracted business applications.
- Diagnosing application issues, resolving where possible, or escalating appropriately.
- Logging and managing incidents and service requests in the designated call management system.
- Working closely with third-party providers, incident management, and change management teams to ensure smooth service operations.
- Contributing to knowledge management systems by maintaining accurate documentation.
- Ensuring that all service-level agreements (SLAs) are met.
