As a result of continued growth across the Group, the Finance Department is currently recruiting for a full-time, permanent Sales Ledger Assistant.
The Role:
Working within a busy finance department, the successful candidate will support the finance team, primarily with the timely raising of sales ledger invoices. Duties will include:
1. High volume sales invoice processing
2. Utilising customer systems to raise invoices and ensure timely payment
3. Assist with cash sales – ensuring invoices raised and payment received prior to jobs being undertaken
4. Communication with customers on any potential issues
5. Liaising and communicating with operational staff on any potential issues
6. Preparation of credit notes as and when required
7. Accurate processing of information – ensuring attention to detail
8. Providing additional support as required across the finance department
Employee specification:
1. Excellent verbal, written and communication skills with the ability to communicate across different platforms (e.g. telephone, email and electronic messaging)
2. High levels of accuracy and attention to detail, including inputting and extracting data from systems
3. Passionate about delivering outstanding customer service to our customers, colleagues, and partners
4. Work well as part of a team and promote good working relationships with internal and external colleagues
5. A strong overall IT knowledge as there will be exposure to several different operating systems
6. 2 years previous experience working within a fast-paced finance office
7. 2 years previous experience in the use of Microsoft packages
8. Previous Experience in Transport/Logistics Industry
