Sefton Sixth Form College is currently seeking a Lecturer in A Level Law to join our team. As a part of the Faculty of Business, Law, and Humanities, the successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, learning and assessment to ensure successful learner outcomes and maximise the potential of every student to progress to their chosen destination.

Sefton Sixth Form College is a sixth form college in Litherland, Sefton. It is a part of Hugh Baird College and was formerly known as the Hugh Baird College South Sefton Campus. The Sixth Form was founded in 2009, and is a vibrant, state-of-the-art campus offering an extensive choice of A-level subjects, as well as a small number of BTEC and GCSE courses. The campus is located approximately 7 miles away from Liverpool City Centre.
Key Responsibilities

Teach A level Law at our Sefton Sixth Form College campus.
* Implement appropriate feedback and assessment systems to accurately check learning, adapting teaching as required to ensure learner progress.
* Deliver lessons which align with our TLA Principles.
* Contribute to curriculum innovation, development, and implementation.
* Maintain a professional learning environment in the classroom consistently implementing our ABC expectations and supportive processes as required.
* Maintain and update teaching expertise and skills to continually develop your teaching practice and deliver the best outcomes for learners.
* Contribute to the delivery of our enhancement programme.
Criteria
* Possess a degree in Law or a related subject.
* Possess a PGCE/Certificate of education or equivalent teaching qualification.
* Possess a qualification in Maths and English levels 4 – 9 (GCSE Grades A – C) or equivalent.
* Track record of successful teaching experience within a Sixth Form setting, preferably teaching A level Law.
* Detailed knowledge of relevant course subject matter and examination and assessment requirements.
* Understanding of value added and the use of progress performance measures.
* Experience of developing and maintaining external partnerships to enrich teaching and learning.
