The role we have is for a Full-Time Area Security Officer with G4S Secure Solutions. The role involves working in a relief capacity, covering day, night, and weekend shifts across two different locations. The position is based at two locations: Hinkley Campus (TA5 1DL), next door to the Hinkley Point C construction site, and Sedgemoor Campus (TA6 4DE) on Bath Road, Bridgwater. The role involves 12-hour shifts from 06:00 to 18:00 or 18:00 to 06:00, with a pay rate of £15.20 per hour for security officer work. The HPC workers' accommodation is provided by our client, HOST, and G4S provides security and welfare services to both the client and guests. Daily responsibilities include patrolling, first aid, incident response management and reporting, and managing guest access and egress. An SIA Door Supervisor Licence and first aid at work certification are required. While experience in security or hospitality is preferable, we are willing to train individuals with the right attitude and ability to learn. Good communication skills, both written and verbal, and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office are essential. The role also requires the ability to be on your feet most of the day, work outdoors, and handle conflict. You will ensure the safety of our customers staff, their buildings and assets, whilst providing excellent customer service with a smile.
