We are seeking an interim HR Manager to join the Business Support Team to cover a period of maternity leave.
The post holder will oversee an HR function providing high quality support to NIESR's staff team of around 50.
This stand-alone role includes providing business partnering services to the SteerCo and line managers.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide professional advice and support to managers and staff on HR matters.
* Management of leave, including maternity, paternity, shared parental etc, and flexible working requests.
* Maintaining employee records and ensuring timely information is provided to the Finance team.
* Maintenance of key documentation such as org charts and pay structure information.
* Management of NIESR's HR system.
Resourcing:
* Coordinate all recruitment activity from JD review to onboarding.
* Coordinate visa applications and maintaining the Institute's status as an approved sponsor.
Performance Management:
* Ensure thorough inductions for new starters.
* Support managers to administer probationary periods.
* Coordinate the annual appraisal process.
* Coordinate training request and bookings.
Employee Engagement:
* Administer the biennial staff survey.
* Lead on the EDI taskforce.
* Enrol new staff onto our employee benefits system.
