Twenty4Seven Education is seeking a qualified, kind and sympathetic Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Teacher to work within a spacious Residential Special School. This amazing new role is to start ASAP on a full-time long term basis. This welcoming school is registered as a children’s home for children and young people aged 5-19 with severe intellectual disabilities including Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC).
Their facilities include a library, a swimming pool, a parent/carer house, an interactive soft play room and a sensory garden.

Key Responsibilities:
* Have regard for the need to safeguard children and young people's well-being following statutory provisions
* Set high expectations which inspire, motivate and challenge children and young people
* Plan and teach inspiring differentiated lessons in line with the National Curriculum and the school's curriculum policy
* Give children and young people regular feedback and encourage them to respond to the feedback
* Manage behaviour effectively to ensure a good and safe learning environment following the school’s behaviour policy
* Deploy any support staff effectively
* Take responsibility for improving teaching through appropriate professional development, responding to advice and feedback from colleagues
* Communicate effectively with those involved with the children and young people about their achievements and well-being
Must have:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Experience working with children with SEND within an educational setting or similar (minimum of 12 months of experience)
* Child and Adult DBS check on the Update Service or willing to pay and apply for a new one (Twenty4Seven Education can assist you with this process)
* Up-to-date knowledge of the National Curriculum
* Read the DfE ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’ (2024) document
* Excellent classroom management
* Good communication skills
