Main duties of the job
Providing remote assessment to adults and young people for neurodevelopmental conditions, predominantly ADHD, considering differential and/or co-occurring conditions to make diagnostic decisions.
To undertake supervision and consultation where appropriate.
Where appropriate, to undertake research and provide research advice to other team members undertaking research.

ProblemShared is a remote business, and we have no central office. As a result, the team all work from home (or other suitable locations) so you will need to be comfortable with this as a working environment and have a reliable internet connection. We have a lot to achieve to deliver a truly excellent proposition for our community of professionals and their clients and so the successful new team members need to be highly motivated self-starters.
Job responsibilities
Key responsibilities:
To provide specialist psychological advice, guidance and consultation to other professionals contributing directly to clients formulation and care.
To contribute directly and indirectly to a psychologically based framework of understanding and care to the benefit of all clients.
To undertake risk assessment and risk management for individual clients.
To communicate in a highly skilled and sensitive manner, information concerning the assessment, formulation and treatment plans of clients.
To receive regular clinical supervision from a senior psychologist and, where appropriate, other senior professional colleagues.
To provide advice, consultation and training to staff working with the client group across the company.
To utilise theory, evidence-based literature and research to support evidence based practice.
Where appropriate, to undertake audit and service evaluation, with colleagues within the company to help develop service provision.
To contribute to the development and articulation of best practice in psychology across the company by continual professional development, keeping up to date with developments in the field of clinical psychology and best practice guidance.
Person Specification
Experience
* Experience and skills in psychological assessment with individuals across the lifespan.
* Experience of multi-disciplinary team working and inter-agency collaboration.
* Experience of supervision of trainee and / or assistant clinical psychologists.
* Skills in providing consultation to other professional and non-professional groups.
* Knowledge of relevant legislation and national policies.
* Ability to teach and train others.
* Ability to work as part of a virtual team.
Qualifications
* Requirement:
* Registered with the HCPC as a Practitioner Psychologist.
* Doctoral level training in Clinical Psychology (or its equivalent for those trained prior to 1996).
* Evidence of continued professional development as recommended by the BPS / HCPC.
* Good knowledge of legislation, research and developments relevant to the field of ADHD.
* Knowledge of relevant ADHD screening tools (e.g. DIVA/ADHDRS/Conners).
* Remote Assessment Experience
