We are looking for Catchment Nutrients Officer to project manage, develop, coordinate and deliver the nutrient neutrality partnership project in four Cumbrian SAC catchments (River Derwent, River Kent, Esthwaite Water, River Eden). What's it like to work here? We've moved to hybrid working combining working from home and days at our office base in Wayfaring House, Murley Moss. You'll be provided with a laptop to enable you to access our secure IT network when working remotely. The role The Cumbrian nutrient neutrality partnership project has achieved a significant funding award to accelerate the delivery of nutrient mitigation solutions to unlock stalled development in the county. Working in the Strategy and Environment Team, this role will help us deliver a project to: Approve new planning applications Assist the delivery of the Cumbrian Authorities' spatial strategies, particularly in respect of housing and tourism provision Create mitigation strategies options for each affected catchment The post holder will line manage a Graduate Strategy Planner, Catchment Ecologist and Administrator to work closely with and support specialist advisors, rangers, partners and contractors. It is a rewarding role, working with, and being supported by an experienced and talented team of colleagues and partners. We need a project manager with strategic awareness, who is confident working with multi-faceted complex projects and information sources. You'll also be an excellent communicator with a great track record in stakeholder engagement and managing effective relationships, facilitating the delivery of mitigation strategies and the development of mitigation schemes. The role requires a consistent focused effort on effective project management including forward planning, risk management, communications and engagement planning and delivery, benefits tracking, budget management, project monitoring and reporting. As well as an ability to work in a structured, logical and often time pressured way, focussed on delivering the project plan.
