Overview
A key member of the Engineering and Maintenance team, the Maintenance Planner supports Operations working closely with the Maintenance Team, compiling and delivering an effective asset care plan for each planned shutdown. Preparing day to day site maintenance work tasks and scheduling and distributing to site teams/resource. Generation and reporting of KPI’s. Improving plant reliability and reducing costs through the use of data from SAP to drive asset improvements and effective planning.
Responsibilities
1. Maintenance Planner plans all tasks associated with shutdowns by collaborating with Operations and Maintenance. Responsible for delivering an effective plan for each planned shutdown continuously improving reliability, AIB, reducing labour costs and driving efficiency.
2. Driving effective scheduling to implement asset care, achieving greater than target KPI’s on monthly scorecard. Collaborating daily with Operations to allow targets to be maintained via QCDM meetings.
3. Reviewing work order/requests and prioritising through effective collaboration with Maintenance Team and Operation Teams.
4. Support Improvement Teams, scheduling Failure Analysis work orders as required from the Teams feedback.
5. Ensure weekly scorecards are produced and fed back to teams, supplying labour utilisation information, maintaining SAP, using Data standards, preparing ad-hoc reports, entering and modifying tasks and instructions as required.
6. Maintaining SAP data including new equipment and associated asset care regimes.
7. Take an active role in supporting the site on actions and taking ownership on agreed issues relating to internal audits such as PEMM, BRC and AIB.
Qualifications
8. Highly numerate, with analytical thinking, ability to support the Maintenance Team, Operations and others with decisions and judgements.
9. Ability to work in a changing environment generating ideas and solutions.
10. Attention to detail and ability to prioritise workload.
11. Highly motivated and a strong team player with good people skills, having effective written and verbal communication skills across a range of contacts, both within the organisation and beyond.
12. Skills in influencing others with the ability to negotiate.
13. Computer skills, Excel, Word and capability to operate SAP.
14. Must demonstrate assertiveness and confidence to take an active part in meetings with fellow employees and external contractors at all levels.
15. Knowledge of the system equipment.
16. Daily contact with peers and other employees at all levels.
17. Having a basic knowledge of system flow streams and how items of equipment can affect system efficiency and pallet quality.
18. Having a personality to accommodate snap shot changes in production/equipment demands.
