Job Description:
The incumbent will be responsible for project planning, management and execution to include design and construction of renovation projects, remodeling, maintenance reserve and other minor projects, facility condition assessments, monitoring and other general engineering services. Reports to work as directed during emergency closings. Minimum Qualifications:
Considerable knowledge of operations and maintenance of institutional facilities including building and utility systems. Considerable understanding of design criteria and building codes.
Considerable knowledge of facility design and design process, cost estimating, building codes, construction documents, construction materials and methods.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Effective negotiation skills.
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and MS Project. Demonstrated ability to manage all aspects of multiple design and construction projects. Well-developed capacity for analysis and evaluation of complex design, construction and code issues.
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate graphically and verbally with designers, engineers, contractors and shop mechanics and electricians.
Demonstrated ability to manage numerous construction projects.
Demonstrated ability to work well with others and project a professional image at all times. Preferred Qualifications:
