️ Group HR Manager | Letchworth | Aerospace Manufacturing Are you an experienced HR professional ready to drive change and make a real impact? We're looking for a Group HR Manager to join a leading aerospace manufacturing group, supporting its growth and ensuring a motivated, high-performing workforce. Location: Letchworth Hours of Work: 39 hours per week (shorter Fridays) Purpose of Role To oversee and manage the HR function across multiple businesses, ensuring efficient HR administration, compliance, and strategic people management. The role is hands-on and requires a proactive approach to developing HR policies, processes, and a strong workforce. The Group HR Manager will spend time across various business units, typically dedicating a day or two to each site. Key Responsibilities ➤ Overseeing and maintaining HR administration across all businesses. ➤ Developing, reviewing, and implementing HR policies to ensure compliance. ➤ Managing HR process integration across multiple business units. ➤ Aligning people management processes, contracts, and policies with business needs. ➤ Supporting HR functions within factory and operational environments. ➤ Leading recruitment efforts, including onboarding and retention strategies. ➤ Developing strategies to improve and monitor employee productivity. ➤ Advising on compensation and benefits to enhance employee retention. ➤ Managing employee relations, resolving grievances, and improving workplace culture. ➤ Leading change management initiatives and workforce planning. ➤ Engaging managers to ensure staff accountability and support. ➤ Overseeing training and development, including apprenticeships and skills programs. ➤ Maintaining the company’s skills assessment matrix and supporting performance reviews. ➤ Managing HR budgets and ensuring ROI on HR initiatives. Experience & Qualifications CIPD Level 5 qualification (essential). Degree in Human Resources or a related field preferred. Minimum 3–4 years of hands-on HR Manager experience. Experience in developing or significantly enhancing an HR department. Strong background in a people-focused HR role. Prior experience in manufacturing, engineering, or factory environments is desirable. Team & Growth Opportunities Managing and supporting HR functions across multiple business units.
