Job Overview:Gillshill Primary School is looking to appoint an enthusiastic, inspiring and highly motivated Achievement Support Assistant to work as part of our dedicated team. The successful candidate will work in EYFS providing appropriate support for pupils of all abilities within the classroom setting. The successful candidate will also support teaching staff with the children’s social, emotional and academic progress, delivering interventions to enhance pupils' learning and provide supervision and care of children at various times of the day.
We are looking to appoint an individual who:Can provide effective support to maximise attainment and accelerate the progress of individuals and groups of pupilsCan establish productive working relationships with children, acting as a role model and setting high expectationsWill provide detailed and regular feedback to teachers on pupils’ attainment, progress, behaviour and attitudes to learningHas excellent communication and interpersonal skills and enjoys working within a supportive teamIs well organised, flexible and creativeIs willing to participate fully in ensuring inclusion of all childrenCan assist with the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans and Personal Care programmes when necessaryFurther information regarding the post can be found in the job description and person specification.
