Project Development Planning (Environmental) Consultant
Bristol (2 days/week in office, flexible remote work, and close collaboration with the London team)
I'm working with a leading, multidisciplinary consultancy that's looking for a Project Development Planning (Environmental) Consultant to join their team in Bristol. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a background in Environmental Science, Environmental Planning, or a related field, who enjoys working on diverse and impactful projects.
What you'll be doing:
You'll be involved in a variety of planning and infrastructure projects while collaborating closely with the London team. Key responsibilities include:
1. Reviewing and simplifying technical and non-technical reports for clients
2. Preparing Construction Environmental Management Plans (CEMPs), Sustainability Statements, Waste Management Plans, and more
3. Conducting research and sourcing data for environmental assessments
4. Coordinating internal resources and managing sub-consultant teams for project delivery
5. Developing skills in project management, budgeting, and financial oversight
6. Contributing to business development and bid preparation efforts
7. Working within quality management systems
8. Mentoring junior team members while working towards professional chartership
What they're looking for:
1. A degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Geography, Town Planning, or a similar field (MSc)
2. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams); familiarity with GIS/CAD software is a plus
3. Strong communication skills and attention to detail
4. A team player who's organised, with a client-focused mindset
5. Full UK driving licence
Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
