An opportunity is available for a National Change Administrator based at our offices in Plymouth. Reporting to the National Change Manager, you will be support the administration and day to day operation of NGED’s (National Grid Electricity Distribution) National Change Management programme. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring progress of National changes against plan and ensuring activities are undertaken within the relevant timescales. This requires active participation in the company’s change management process to ensure that NGED maintain up to date systems and processes that support, and are compliant with, the following National Agreements: Balancing & Settlement Code (BSC) Smart Energy Code (SEC) Retail Energy Code (REC) Relevant Licence Obligations (including the Faster Switching Programme) As part of our hybrid working approach, this role offers a mix of office and home working. Main Responsibilities Advising on change issues to individual Business Process Owners and relevant Management and, where appropriate monitoring programme and process level modifications. Provide support and assistance as required on key change activities undertaken by NGED as defined by the National Systems Manager. Assist the National Change Manager in developing and maintaining the National Change processes. Assist in communicating change requirements to all interested parties both inside NGED and, where appropriate, to external contacts. Liaise with Business Owners/IT to ensure change activities are undertaken to the defined timescales. Administer the National Change process. Administer the National Change Library. Assist in the production of change reports. Provide support to Business Owners on analysis of changes. Liaise with and provide feedback to External Organisations including OFGEM, DESNZ, Smart DCC, Elexon (both BSC and MHHS Programme), RECCo and SECCo. Represent NGED at National Meetings as agreed with the National Change Manager. Managing NGED’s MPAN Address Maintenance Requirements. Code documentation management including keeping documentation up to date, recording the distribution & receipt of documents. Periodic validation and assessment of business compliance with requirements. Coordination of National Audit programmes under various codes. The Ideal Candidate The successful candidate will have knowledge of NGED business activities and the systems used to support them as well as an appreciation of the national agreements NGED have to comply with as part of our Licence obligations. You should be computer literate with proven organisational skills as well as good verbal, written and interpersonal skills. You will have the ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the organisation as well as with external companies in an efficient, professional manner. We are looking for someone with the demonstrable ability to work to a plan and achieve targets within agreed timescales as well as being able to work independently with a minimum of supervision.
