About the role
We have an opportunity for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to work on a major prison project in Bicester / Aylesbury in the Buckinghamshire area. The project is part of the New Prisons Programme (NPP) under the Alliance 4 New Prisons (A4NP).
This is a great opportunity for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to be involved on a long-term project from the beginning. Ideally, you will be located within commuting distance to the project, although due to the long-term nature of the project, candidates will be considered that have the flexibility to work out of one of our regional offices in either London or Bradford and travel to the project site.
Key responsibilities
* Assist in maximising the commercial position of the project for ISG whilst maintaining positive supply chain relationships.
* Protect ISG’s contractual position by ensuring all processes, procedures and obligations are carried out appropriately.
* Ensure ISG’s governance and procedural requirements are adhered to.
* Assist in managing the change process in conjunction with the extended team.
* Input limited information into internal reports including CVR.
Key skills and experience
* Experience of sub-contractor analysis.
* Experience in producing tenders, quotes and formal proposals.
* Main contractor experience within the construction market preferable but not essential.
* Experience of different project types.
Qualifications
* Recognised qualification in a construction-related subject.
