Handley James Chemical is partnered with a global refrigerant gas business, one of the biggest in Europe, to support them in finding an experienced quality professional for a 6-month fixed term contract (possible extension) to join their team in Hinkley. The role will be a project role focused on the creation of SOPs to allow the site to be fully compliant with all relevant legislation and in preparation of application for ISO 9001.
To work with all department heads to review existing practices and highlight any SHEQ concerns raised during this review.
Ensure that all SOPs are created to the standard required by the business.
Management of this project and allotted time, to allow for all the project deliverables to be completed within the agreed timeframe.
Key Responsibilities
* Attend daily meetings with the department heads to allow data collection and review current practices. Time will also be allocated each day to allow for any required admin and the creation of the SOPs.
* Creation of new SOPs for each department including production, yard, laboratory, reclaim, recovery, customer services etc.
* Weekly reporting of the status of the project to the SHEQ Manager.
* Report to the SHEQ Manager if any further SOPs that need to be created are discovered whilst working with the department heads
