Key Skills, Attributes, and Experience Desired:
* Data Governance Expertise: Demonstrable success in establishing and managing large-scale data governance programmes.
* Data Quality Champion: Experience with data quality tools (e.g., Collibra, Informatica, Talend) and best practices for issue resolution.
* Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of GDPR and other relevant data protection regulations.
* Leadership & Collaboration: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence senior stakeholders.
* Technical Acumen: Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern data architectures.
* Strategic Vision: A forward-thinking approach, with the ability to link governance initiatives to tangible business outcomes.
* Exceptional Communication: Strong written and verbal skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts for diverse audiences.
Role Overview:
As Head of Data Governance & Quality, you will lead the development, implementation and consolidation of frameworks, policies, and strategies that ensure data remains a secure, accurate, and trusted resource. Working collaboratively with senior stakeholders, data teams, and technical specialists, you’ll foster a culture of accountability, compliance, and continuous improvement across the organisation.
This role would suit a Lead Data Governance/Quality Analyst ready for a step up or an existing Head of Governance & Quality. The team requires a level-headed, visionary leader with expertise and a proven ability to scale governance frameworks in complex, fast-moving environments.
