The Position Job Title: Operations & Logistics Apprentice Apprenticeship Course: Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship Duration: 13-15 months EPA Location: Nottingham NG15 Working Hours: Monday to Friday 9am -5pm Salary: £13,500 Role and Responsibilities: 1. Order Processing & Fulfilment: o Assisting in processing customer orders and ensuring timely dispatch. o Coordinating with suppliers and vendors to maintain smooth delivery schedules. o Tracking shipments and updating internal systems with delivery statuses. 2. Inventory Management: o Monitoring stock levels and assisting with inventory replenishment. o Performing regular inventory checks and reconciling discrepancies. o Helping organize and maintain the warehouse for efficient operations. 3. Logistics Coordination: o Supporting the planning and optimization of delivery routes. o Liaising with transport providers to ensure on-time deliveries. o Resolving delivery issues or delays with suppliers and customers. 4. Administrative Support: o Preparing shipping documents, invoices, and customs paperwork as required. o Maintaining accurate records of orders, shipments, and inventory. o Assisting in preparing reports on logistics performance and costs. 5. Communication & Collaboration: o Coordinating with sales, customer service, and warehouse teams to meet customer expectations. o Providing timely updates to internal teams regarding order statuses or delivery changes. o Communicating with clients regarding order confirmations, tracking, and issues. 6. Problem-Solving & Continuous Improvement: o Identifying operational bottlenecks and suggesting improvements to processes. o Assisting in implementing new logistics software or tools to improve efficiency. o Supporting compliance with health & safety, regulatory, and company policies. 7. General Operational Support: o Helping with day-to-day operational tasks as needed, including ad hoc projects. o Assisting in organizing shipments for special promotions or high-volume periods.
