Are you great at organising a schedule? Do you find that you are great at finding a solution to a complex problem? When there is a group event, do you often find that you are the point of contact for everyone because you know the arrangements? If this is you then perhaps you were a born Care Coordinator. As a Care Coordinator, you will be responsible for aligning the schedule of your Care & Support Workers with the important needs of supporting people to receive care in their own homes. Your responsibilities will include: Allocation of Care & Support Workers to all service user visits. Responding to incoming telephone enquiries. Processing new service user referrals. Preparing appropriate documentation for Field Care Supervisors. Ensuring Customer and Care & Support Worker records are up to date. Producing reports and management information as required. Some key skills that you will need for this role include: being a good communicator, experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), the ability to work under pressure and great organisational skills. If you’ve worked in the care industry previously (or have a personal experience with care) then that would be great as well, but it’s not mandatory.
