We are looking for a Receptionist to deliver an outstanding and welcoming, first-class reception and concierge service for companies innovating at the forefront of genomics and biodata companies located within our BioData Innovation Centre. About the Role: You will be responsible for delivering an outstanding, first-class reception and concierge service at the BioData Innovation Centre (BIC) for its resident companies, their staff, and visitors. You will provide a warm welcome and be the primary point of contact for everyone entering the BIC, offering exceptional customer service and comprehensive information about the BIC building, and the wider facilities on Campus. Additionally, you will be an important interface between the BIC and Campus teams and Contractors responsible for the operational building maintenance and vital services and facilities for the resident companies and their staff, and provides administration support to colleagues within the BIC Operational Team. About You: You will have experience and a passion for delivering the highest quality reception and information service to customers within a professional environment, ideally within an innovation or science park location. With experience in managing a busy reception and handling the demands of a wide range of stakeholders, you will have the. The ability to multitask and juggle competing priorities whilst ensuring an excellent attention to detail in all tasks. You will have excellent communication, networking, problem-solving skills and be able to maintain professionalism and discretion at all times. Essential Skills: Previous experience of managing a busy Reception area Significant customer interface experience and exceptional customer service skills Effective team player and communicator Highly proactive in identifying issues and seeking resolutions Computer literate and familiar with Microsoft and Google Office applications and tools Ability to thrive in under pressurized conditions whilst completing multiple, self-directed tasks Prioritize work tasks in busy and complex environment Handling confidential information, tasks and appropriate level of data protection awareness About Us: The work of the BIC Operational Team is about bringing academia and industry together as a vibrant community - it is extremely varied across the team and includes working closely with innovative companies, providing a first class building environment for companies to thrive, along with delivering initiatives and events to stimulate entrepreneurship and facilitating networking and interactions between Campus organisations in support of intellectual and scientific interaction.
