We have an amazing opportunity for an enthusiastic and proactive Female Support Worker ideally with a full clean driving licence in the County Durham area. The role will be supporting a young woman with a Brain Injury and Autism. The role will include evening, weekend shifts and sleep in duties on a rota basis. You will support with our client with her rehabilitation programme, to increase her independence, both at home and in the community. The role will include personal and domestic care, therapy exercises as advised by a therapy team, social and leisure outings. Training can be provided for the right candidate and regular supervisions will take place to support you. We require Female Support Workers due to the occupational requirements of the client making this role compliant with Paragraph 1, Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010 What you'll be working: 28.5 hours per week plus 10 hours sleep in per week 11.44 per hour (weekdays); 12.44 per hour (weekends); 87.20 per sleep-in shift; double time on bank holidays What you will be doing: To work with a woman with disabilities at home and in the local community. To be responsible to the client via the Case Manager. To provide assistance and support as directed by the Case Manager. To help the client participate in recreational and leisure activities. To provide any personal care as required. To provide nutritional meals for the client as directed by her. To act as a driver for the client as necessary. To accompany the client in the community to various activities To be flexible in hours of work to satisfy the client s requirements. To accompany the client on holidays and weekends away when required. To carry out domestic duties in the client s house as appropriate To undertake training and supervision as agreed by the Case Manager. To liaise closely with any other professionals as directed by the Case Manager. To work within agreed care techniques and strategies documented in the care plan. To work alongside the client s therapists and assist with agreed rehabilitation strategies and techniques. To ensure client confidentiality in all matters relating to the client. Any other appropriate and reasonable task in relation to the employment as agreed with the client and Case Manager.
