Gloucester Academy is looking for an Assistant Headteacher, Teaching and Learning Professional Development. The successful candidate will lead and support on:
* Teaching and Learning, curriculum and staff handbook;
* Teaching and learning development through an online in-house platform and use of Greenshaw intranet;
* Quality assure teacher guides and use for adaptive teaching;
* Quality assurance and development of the curriculum through subject leaders meetings/ regular curriculum conversations/use of Greenshaw School improvement team;
* Engaging staff with We are in Beta/curriculum thinkers to support their own development;
* Checkpoint scheduling and Quality Assurance of analysis. Hold subject leads and LM to account to ensure reviews from checkpoints lead to relevant next steps that improve and develop the curriculum;
* Quality assure Checkpoints for ambition and rigour;
* DDIs and book looks scheduled across the year;
* Feedback from DDI shared with all stakeholders to inform next steps at teacher/department and school level;
* Coaching/mentoring DDI feedback model put into place;
* Coaching programme developed through Lead Practitioner;
* Whole School PD with Will Meldrum, Kevin Sinden, Luke Parrcok and INSET with SLT;
* New Staff/student Induction with deployment of mentors;
* Marking and feedback reviewed and developed through DDis/ book looks/ learning walks;
* Options and choices / Options Evening;
* ECT/new staff programme;
* Capability procedures;
* Collating NPQ/external training/ external visits completion and ensuring a cycle of feedback to support other staff;
* Standards checking for Year 7;
* Expectations Booklet for Y7-11;
* Recruitment Schedules and Interview Schedules;
* Equality, Diversity and inclusion.
The Assistant Headteacher will have a Strategic overview of Lead Practitioners:
* DDI Individual Teacher Support/coaching (all);
* PD support/implementation (all);
* ECT programme CJE;
* PGCE programme AWR;
* Coaching programme LSL.
EAL coordinator:
* New student induction;
* EAL strategy sharing;
* Deployment of tutors;
* DI SE;
* Progress of EAL learners.
