Research and Development (R&D) is looking for a committed research nurse to join their friendly team based at Solihull Hospital, part of University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. You are sure to receive a warm welcome into our team. You will be part of the core R&D team delivering studies across multiple specialty areas. Our research portfolio has an exciting range of commercial and academic clinical trials, including observational and interventional studies.
Your role will be to provide research nurse support to the Research and Development Directorate. This will involve the day-to-day responsibility and coordination of specific research projects. The role includes clinical care of patients participating in studies, as well as sample and data collection and screening.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Registered level 1 Adult Nurse on the NMC register
* Relevant degree or equivalent in nursing
* Health care management/leadership qualification.
Experience
* Professional portfolio demonstrating continuing professional development and evidence of ability to maintain professional registration.
* Substantial post-registration experience working in a complex health care setting/Acute NHS care setting supervising/mentoring junior staff.
* Evidence of professional/clinical knowledge in the area supplemented by specialist clinical and/or managerial training and CPD.
* Relevant and recent clinical experience within the specialty/acute care setting, including the supervision/education of junior staff.
* Experience of mentoring undergraduate students.
* Evidence of ability to lead/coordinate a shift/area of department.
* Experience in learning from incidents/complaints and supporting changes in practice.
* Evidence of Research knowledge.
* Experience of clinical trials/studies/research coordination.
