We are seeking a compassionate and committed SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to join our team and contribute to the academic and personal development of our pupils. Role Overview: As a SEN Teaching Assistant (TA), you will provide essential support to students with a range of special educational needs, helping them engage with the curriculum and achieve their potential in a safe and encouraging environment. SEN Teaching Assistant Key Responsibilities: Provide one-to-one or small group support for students with SEN, including autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and other learning difficulties. Assist in preparing and adapting learning resources to meet the individual needs of students. Support students during classroom activities, ensuring they are engaged and able to understand tasks. Promote social, emotional, and physical development, fostering confidence and independence. Collaborate with teachers and other staff to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and monitor progress. Assist with behaviour management, encouraging positive interactions among students. Support students during break times and extracurricular activities. Ideal Candidate: We are looking for someone who is passionate about working with children with special educational needs and can bring empathy, patience, and enthusiasm to the role. The ideal candidate will have: Experience working with children with SEN (preferred). A strong understanding of various SEN, including autism and ADHD. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A proactive and flexible approach to addressing individual learning needs. Relevant qualifications such as a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential). What We Offer: Competitive Pay: £12.82 - £14.72 per hour, depending on experience.
