OS Engineering Technician

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a high-calibre Engineering Technician to join the Site Services Engineering Team on a permanent basis. You will be required to maintain our facilities and utilities which are critical to the operations of the entire site. You will also provide support to Safety & Quality improvement actions, engineering projects and plant improvements, ensuring work is carried out to GMP standards and in compliance with both company and external standards.

In this role you will:
1. Day to day breakdown repair cover of production / plant equipment, building services and utilities.
2. Complete preventative and breakdown maintenance activities.
3. Support for area projects and new product introduction.
4. Engineering Change Control initiation, completion and sign off.
5. MERPS activities, including orders, notifications, and data maintenance.
6. Ordering of plant spares and continuous improvement actions.
7. Building infrastructure specific tasks concerned with building fabric, electricity, piped services supply, drainage and effluent control.
8. Operation & maintenance of major utility and piped systems such as boilers, air compressors, CHP and refrigeration systems.
9. Monitoring of utility systems and Building Services and responding to alarms via the site’s BMS.
10. Assisting in the Calibration Laboratory with calibrating site instruments.
11. Operation & maintenance of Quality water plants and HVAC systems.
Qualifications & Skills:
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
1. Relevant qualifications and/or experience is essential (e.g. Engineering Apprenticeship with an industrial focus).
2. Multi-skilled technician ideally with an Engineering HNC with a level of appropriate practical Engineering knowledge and experience.
3. Required to demonstrate competence in current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP).
4. Strong experience of working in a complex GMP environment.
5. Knowledge and understanding required to maintain and fault find on modern utilities and Building Services equipment.
