About the Job Role Working Monday to Friday 7.45am-9.15am. As a Catering Assistant, you will undertake, normally under the general direction of a higher graded operative in a kitchen, the preparation, simple cooking, and serving of food. You will be a flexible, adaptable individual with the ability to work as part of a team or alone as necessary and will have a basic knowledge of catering methods and an awareness of customer care. Previous experience of working in catering, an elementary food hygiene certificate, and working knowledge of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) is desirable but not essential.
