Overview
As Banquet Lead, you will be an integral part of the Banquets team, assisting and supporting Banquet Leadership in the creation and execution of exceptional events. Responsible for ensuring that all guests receive exceptional and efficient service at banquet and catering functions based on Suncadia’s established service standards. The Banquet Lead will always conduct themselves in a professional manner with a demeanor that supports the purpose and values (supporting behaviors) at Suncadia. The Banquet Lead shall strive to provide exceptional service to both internal/external guests and team members at all times. They will be responsible for exemplifying the Magnolia Denver Culture.
Responsibilities
* Support Banquets Leadership in the supervision and execution of the daily functions of the Banquets Department
* Take lead on banquet events at the direction of Banquets Leadership
* Assist in the training of new banquets associates
* Address any guest issue promptly and with concern
* Assist fellow servers whenever possible
* Complete assigned side work. Side work is not optional and will be checked out by the supervisor-on-duty
* Comply with all Washington State safety, health and labor regulations
* Comply with all Suncadia policies, procedures, and safety regulations
* Ensure all set-ups are completed in a timely manner according to Suncadia Resort standards and policies
* Execute all banquet and catering events with exceptional guest service
* Read, interpret, and execute banquet event orders (BEO’s)
* Promote positive public/employee relations at all times
* Knowledge of property-wide facilities and services
* Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned
Qualifications
* Prior Banquets experience, in a resort environment preferred
* High school education or GED equivalent
* Current state food handler permit required
* Current TIPs certification
* Must be 18 years of age or older
* Ability to work a varied and flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
* Ability to learn basic bartending skills; willing to occasionally work bar shifts if over 21 years old
* Ability to work well with others and function well in a fast-paced environment
* Able to communicate well with team members and customers
* Knowledge of food and beverage products
* Knowledge of property-wide facilities and services
* Possess excellent telephone and organizational skills
Salary: $20.00/hour
