This firm boasts a top-tier private client practice, serving clients with a diverse array of assets who require advanced succession planning and wealth protection strategies. A significant portion of their clientele consists of generational families, relying on the firm for comprehensive legal support that spans from cradle to grave.
In the role of Trusts Manager, you will be at the forefront of managing vital client relationships, with a primary focus on tax and succession planning matters. Your responsibilities will include calculating trustee liabilities for IHT, CGT, and Income Tax, managing trust distributions, and thoroughly reviewing and interpreting trust deeds and related documents.
The ideal candidate will possess:
* Extensive experience in trust administration and managing a substantial portfolio of trusts
* Qualification as either an accountant or solicitor
* Strong proficiency in liaising with accountants and coordinating the preparation of annual trust accounts and tax returns
* Familiarity with overseeing updates to the Trust Registration Service
* Proven ability to effectively communicate with HMRC, trustees, beneficiaries, and investment managers
* Experience in managing tax payments and other financial obligations, along with billing responsibilities
