Opportunity Overview We are now looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused individual to fill an exciting opportunity in The University of Salford’s Sport Centre. Managed by the Facilities Manager, the Sports Centre Receptionist will be responsible for the day to day running of the front desk, and we are looking for someone who can contribute to a professional, safe and enjoyable customer experience within our Sports Centre. To be considered for this role you will need a National Pool Lifeguard Qualification or be willing to undertake & obtain the stated certificate within 6 months. The existing indoor Sports Centre is located on the Peel Park Campus and contains the following facilities: 25 metre swimming pool with sauna and spa Fitness suites consisting of cardio vascular, resistance, weights and strength and conditioning rooms 2 squash courts Fitness studio 6-court sports hall Main Responsibilities To answer routine enquiries from a variety of stakeholders including colleagues, students and external members both verbally and in writing. To maintain membership records, processing applications, and take an active part in membership debt recovery. Manage the centre’s social media accounts, advertising and administration. To make bookings and assist in the development of events and activities in the Sports Centre A bit about Estates and Property Services Utilising the resources of some 320 directly employed staff, supported by numerous external contractors, Estates & Facilities Services is responsible for delivering a full estates and facilities management service to the University, including capital development, property maintenance, cleaning, security, caretaking and landscaping.
