About the service
Are you looking for a rewarding role where no two days are the same? Do you enjoy being active, social, and making a real difference in people’s lives? If so, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Female Support Practitioner* to join our team, working with two young women who lead busy lives but love to come together for activities and social time.
In this role, you’ll support two young women with complex needs across two locations: our Supported Living Service in Bellahouston and our Outreach Service in the West End. While they each have their own routines, they come together on Thursdays for a gym or swim session, and Fridays are all about fun—dining out, socialising, and some karaoke!
Your role will involve:
* Supporting individuals in their own homes with personal care, housework, meal preparation, medication administration, and finances
* Promoting independence and well-being based on individual support plans
* Encouraging social activities and supporting access to the community
* Liaising with families and professionals to provide the highest quality care
* Keeping accurate records and working as part of a supportive team
Who You’ll Be Supporting
West End Service:
This energetic young lady thrives on a structured routine that includes swimming, gym sessions, dance classes, and dining out. She is working on her independent living skills and enjoys being an active member of her community.
Bellahouston Service:
A sociable young woman who loves exploring new places, whether it's shopping, dining out, or relaxing in the park. She’s passionate about Lego and enjoys spending time at her caravan, especially on holidays.
At the heart of our support approach is effective communication and person-centred care, ensuring that every individual’s needs, interests, and preferences are respected and supported.
Both young women are looking for someone who is fun, friendly, and full of energy to support them in making the most of life. They want a Support Practitioner who is enthusiastic, encouraging, and ready to get involved—whether that’s hitting the gym, building independent living skills, or sharing a laugh over karaoke. Patience, reliability, and a caring nature are essential, along with a commitment to building a trusting and positive relationship.
If you’re up for new experiences, enjoy being part of a team, and can offer support with a smile, this could be the perfect role for you.
What’s the shift pattern?
This is a 35-hour-per-week role, with a mix of 7-hour shifts including:
* Morning shifts: 7:30 AM – 2:30 PM
* Afternoon shifts: 2:30 PM – 9:30 PM
* Day shifts: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
You’ll also be required to work one weekend in every three to ensure consistency and stability for the individuals supported.
