We are looking for a Group Commercial Director to lead and transform our commercial strategy across the global agri-tech, food ingredients, processing, and nutrition sectors. This role will be primarily based at our Brighton office and will connect with colleagues across all global offices. In this critical leadership role, you will be responsible for managing and expanding significant sales revenue while integrating two established sales functions into a cohesive and high-performing team, optimising collaboration and operational efficiency. As the Group Commercial Director, you will oversee digital and event sales, including sponsorships and delegate sales, while leading a talented global sales team of 40 professionals located across our offices in Crawley, Brighton, Chicago, Singapore, and Montpellier. This position requires an experienced sales leader with a proven track record of driving creative initiatives and achieving data-driven results. You will play a key role in developing deep market knowledge and relationships, guiding strategic growth initiatives that align with our vision. What you’ll be doing: Develop and execute a global commercial strategy to achieve business objectives and maximise revenue while identifying new market opportunities for growth. Work strategically with cross-functional teams and key stakeholders to enhance operational effectiveness and drive business success. Utilise business intelligence and CRM tools such as Salesforce to inform decision-making, optimise performance, and establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success. Conduct market research and competitive analysis to stay ahead of industry trends and identify growth opportunities while forecasting sales performance. Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders, overseeing customer service initiatives to ensure exceptional satisfaction and loyalty. Develop and implement strategies to enhance customer retention and engagement across global markets. Foster a culture of innovation within the commercial team, encouraging creative solutions and continuous improvement. Drive innovation by maximising the use of resources and technology, such as Salesforce, to enhance commercial operations, while leading the development and launch of new products and services in collaboration with cross-functional teams. Promote a collaborative, inclusive, high-performance culture that maximises team engagement, feedback, and development. Review and recommend commission and incentive schemes designed to facilitate success and drive accountability. What you’ll need: Proven experience of successfully driving revenue growth on a global scale Specialism in media, digital and events sales. Strong analytical skills and experience with data-driven decision-making. Exceptional leadership and team integration capabilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-centric mindset. Proficiency in Salesforce, with experience in leveraging its capabilities for maximise performance.
