Framatome is a major international player in the nuclear energy market recognised for its innovative solutions and value-added technologies for designing, building, maintaining, and advancing the global nuclear fleet. The company designs, manufactures, and installs components, fuel and instrumentation and control systems for nuclear power plants and offers a full range of reactor services.
With 14,000 employees worldwide, every day Framatome’s expertise helps its customers improve the safety and performance of their nuclear plants and achieve their economic and societal goals.
Framatome is owned by the EDF Group (80.5%) and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI – 19.5%).
In the UK, we are currently over 300 strong and our plans are to grow to 400-500 by 2025 through the development of our UK nuclear service offerings.
EDF EPR Engineering UK (EPR-E) is a subsidiary of Edvance, which is a joint venture between EDF and Framatome, established in 2018 in charge of the design and the realisation of nuclear islands for new projects in France and worldwide.
In particular, EDF EPR Engineering UK is responsible for the design and construction of the nuclear island for the Hinkley Point C (HPC) project and preparing the design replication and engineering activities for the Sizewell C (SZC) Project.
At HPC we are building two new nuclear reactors, the first in a new generation of nuclear power stations in the UK providing low carbon electricity for around six million homes.
We are currently looking to recruit an Engineering Data Tools Administrator (Mantis) within the Project HPC Interface Team.
The engineer will collaborate with other teams within the HPC project service, particularly within the Technical Directorate, including the Sequence team and the PMO team. Additionally, they maintain communication with interface correspondents from each entity within Edvance, CNEPE, DIPNN/DT, DIPNN/DI, NNB, and Framatome.
The main activities of the Engineering Data Administrator are as follows:
* Administration and management of Mantis tools (OPM, UKDC, UK-ICM…). Identification and management of users and roles in the tool (creation/evolution/deactivation of accounts).
* Coordinate, develop and implement minor tool adaptations that are under the perimeter. Identification, treatment, and correction of issues (bugs). Analyse development requests from users, specify, implement, test and support the production of the functionalities that have been developed by Mantis developers.
* Continuous improvement of data quality in the databases, including management of correcting routines.
* Main entry point to support users, including management of generic admin mailbox.
* Support to the teams with mass data treatment (extract, post treatment, injection…).
* Data analysis with Excel.
* Development of KPI (Excel, PowerBI…).
* Communication with the team members and the project engineering teams.
